Efficio is growing rapidly and expanding our MENA team. As an established consultancy with over 20 years of operations across Europe, North America, and the Middle East and over 1,500 people globally, we opened our first office in MENA in 2016. We have since grown the team to 350 people in the region across the UAE and KSA and are now looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst in Riyadh.

What will you be doing?

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional leaders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual financial review process to track performance, explain variances, and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Propose and implement improvements to financial reporting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Project Performance Monitoring:
  • Conduct weekly monitoring of project performance, with a specific focus on overruns, utilization rates, and working capital improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in tracking and optimizing financial performance metrics, providing insights to improve operational efficiency.
  • Cash Flow Management:
  • Monitor cash flow on a daily basis and drive initiatives to improve WIP and debtor positions.
  • Support the finance team in optimizing liquidity and cash forecasting.
  • Tax and Compliance:
  • Prepare monthly VAT filing for both Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
  • Assist in year-end tax filing and ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum five years of experience in commercial and non-commercial finance, with exposure to both local and international financial standards.
  • Refined skills in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance, with a track record of delivering actionable insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a similar field. A master’s degree in finance, Business Management/Administration, or equivalent from an accredited university is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and KPI development and tracking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a right-first-time approach to financial modeling and reporting.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads in dynamic environments while maintaining a high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Hyperion SmartView, Tableau, Oracle ERP, SQL, or similar tools is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of regional tax regulations including Saudi income tax, withholding tax, VAT (Saudi and UAE), UAE tax filing, and e-invoicing processes.
  • Familiarity with working capital management, including debtors, creditors, and WIP monitoring.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving : Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and propose innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Client Focus : A client-oriented mindset with the ability to understand client needs and deliver value-added financial insights and recommendations.
  • Teamwork : Proven experience in working collaboratively across cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of mutual support and shared success.
  • Planning and Organizing : Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Attention to Detail : Meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
