ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region. Objective: The Sourcing Specialist’s primary responsibility is to support the centralization of category operations and requirements, ensuring efficient procurement and sourcing operations. The role holder will work closely with the Senior Category Manager and team members to execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and optimize procurement processes. General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Category Manager to identify the need for preparing RFPs (Request for Proposal) as per category requirements. Assist in the development of RFPs, ensuring they align with procurement objectives and category strategies.
  • Work with the Senior Category Manager and Technology function to automate procurement processes wherever feasible, with the goal of achieving economies of scale and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in executing category strategies aimed at achieving supplier performance improvements and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with category teams to implement cross-category initiatives and projects designed to streamline procurement operations.
  • Support the Senior Category Manager in overseeing sourcing specialists and tactical buyers to ensure the efficient execution of procurement processes, competitive sourcing practices, and timely purchase order placement.
  • Collaborate with commodity technical experts to execute supplier assessments based on technical specifications and quality requirements, providing valuable input to supplier evaluation processes.
  • Assist spend management specialists in conducting spend analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and participating in the implementation of spend optimization initiatives.
  • Contribute to contract lifecycle management processes, including contract creation, negotiation, and compliance management, while ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their capabilities.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Implement all relevant Department’s policies, processes, procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies and standards.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required university is preferred.
  • 4-6 year's of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
