Base Radiation Protection Supervisor Be part of a successful team Partner with the best. Ensures the workplace complies with national and international radiation safety regulations and standards. Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.

As a Base Radiation Protection Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  1. Monitoring and improving processes for alignment with applicable standards and regulations.
  2. Ensuring License to Operate in all Radiation.
  3. Managing direct reports that support the Radiation workforce including standardization, internal auditing, dosimetry monitoring, training and implementation, reporting, and plan development.
  4. Collaborating to develop and administer strategies to ensure Radiation and Dangerous Goods are transported safely and in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  5. Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and license conditions related to work with radiation sources at their location.
  6. Providing expertise to internal client organizations in coordination with regional/product line REDG representatives, to ensure REDG regulations and standards are accurately interpreted and applied to their policies, in support of critical operational and business imperatives.
  7. Providing expertise to support the Baker Hughes Audit Program and assisting in the administration of corrective action plans.
  8. Providing expertise to support the renewal, development, and submittal of permits needed for operations and storage of radioactive material. Ensuring sources are leak tested and inspected in line with defined Baker Hughes standards and applicable regulations.
  9. Monitoring and analyzing performance indicator data to identify quality improvement opportunities and advocating corrective action with internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with REDG support staff and subject matter experts within Operations, Quality, HSE, and product development to support the Baker Hughes Brand to improve radiation safety and compliance performance.
  11. Working with operating divisions and their training organizations to identify employee training needs pertaining to radiation and Dangerous Goods, to ensure the accuracy and relevance of training programs.
  12. Monitoring proposed and newly implemented regulations and legislation, to analyze the potential impact on Baker Hughes business processes, advising senior leadership and advocating appropriate action.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will:

  1. Have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
  2. Have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in managing Radiation.
  3. Have operational experience with wireline and drilling systems Radiation sources.
  4. Have a strong familiarity with Well Logging Procedures for OFSE tight deadlines and targets.
  5. Be able to communicate effectively with upper-level management.
