Chief accountant

We are seeking a seasoned Accountant to assist in planning and completing financial, compliance, and operational audits. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation, recommending, and implementing new ideas to develop the company management process and improve company compliance with all IFRS, Governmental laws, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Compile financial information to prepare journal entries.
• Analyze financial information to prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual reports.
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Ensure accurate and efficient monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
• Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
• Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
• Oversee the financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process.
• Discuss and agree on findings/recommendations with the respective process owners or Management.
• Reconciliation of bank accounts.

Requirements

• Graduate or equivalent in Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of prior experience as an Accountant preferably in the Healthcare field.
• Previous experience of handling accounting functionality across multiple branches/locations/cross border is an added advantage.
