Job Description Key Deliverables and Responsibilities

Oversee the Engineering operations of the Hotel.
Interact with Housekeeping and Front Office Team to ensure our guests receive a high level of service.
Be entrepreneurial and think beyond the boundaries.
Provide service that is sincere, warm, and enthusiastic, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Take the time to get to know the guests and commit to service excellence.

Operations

Manage all technical installations on hotel plant, sewage system, fresh water/desalination plant, emergency generator, air conditioning system, irrigation systems, car workshop, technical building, laundry & kitchen equipment, cooling systems, swimming pools, hotel lighting, in-house music & TV system, plumbing, carpentry, painting, paging system, telephone system, and transportation (cars, buses).
Handle and manage sufficient storage of spare parts.
Train and develop the Engineering team in departmental operating standards.
Adhere to Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
Actively review guest comments and feedback, communicate this with team members, and implement procedures to enhance guest satisfaction.
Have full knowledge of all products and services provided by the property and in the local area.
Regularly spot check duty shift checklists to ensure tasks are completed.
Coordinate preventive maintenance & repair schedules and allocate duties and checklists to the team.
Ensure the upkeep of all machinery, technical systems, plants, energy, etc. of the entire hotel site.
Complete all tasks with a focus on quality by auditing allocated jobs daily.
Familiarize with all Mövenpick corporate and local Operational Standards and ensure they are followed.
Implement necessary work procedures for preventive maintenance, initiate scheduled procedures, and monitor the carrying out of work while recording results within an appropriate filing system.
Provide sufficient and timely supply of spare parts.
Determine priorities for repair work and ensure quick resolution of all breakdowns. Accept only work executed in a competent manner. Pass invoices for payment only when the execution of the work is done as preliminarily agreed and to full satisfaction.
