Technical Officer (Gas Network Planning & Design)

What You'll Do: Plan for long term gas network infrastructure needs based on demand projections from authorities. Advise and coordinate with various parties on gas planning and project issues. Prepare proposals and project costings for different type of network development projects e.g. customer projects, infrastructure projects etc. Prepare of and running network simulation models including but not limited to: Collating and studying field data on the gas network from multiple sources independently to derive network trends and modeling assumptions. Using specialized gas hydraulic modeling software to perform network simulations to ascertain feasibility of new gas infrastructure and connections. Working with multiple parties to develop, maintain and carry out validation testing on gas network simulation models. Assisting Engineer (GNPL) in identifying suitable sites for new gas installations e.g. pipelines, offtake stations and regulator houses. Occasionally perform site visits with customers or independently to determine site issues and constraints for proposed pipeline projects or network models. Any other duties as and responsibilities as and when assigned. What You'll Need: Diploma in Mechanical or relevant disciplines from a local Polytechnic Interest in 2D / 3D design for gas distribution pipeline is a MUST Experience in AutoCAD Entry level candidates are welcome to apply (On job training will be provided) A team player with good working attitude and comfortable with using computer software (e.g. MS Office Suite etc.)#J-18808-Ljbffr
