Staff Nurse, Radiation Oncologist Suite (6 months contract)

Roles and Responsibilities To be responsible for the safe delivery of care to patients. To ensure that medical supplies are available for procedures when needed. To explain the examination to patient, what he/she will be undergoing and the estimated duration of it, and obtain the necessary consent when required. To assist Radiation Oncologist in CTSimulation, brachytherapy and external beam radiotherapy procedures. To ensure that precautions have been taken to protect patients, staff and public from unnecessary exposure to inoizing radiation and infectious diseases. To perform documentation according to government legislation. To perform daily QA procedures on nursing and e-trolley equipment according to manufacturers’ recommendations to ensure the optimal performance of equipment. To perform any other duties as instructed by the Senior Staff Nurse or Manager/Radiation Oncologist. Possibility of deployment to Nuclear Medicine Centre, when required, within working hours. Requirements Able to provide general nursing support Able to perform IV cannulation Able to administer IV contrast Able to assist in brachytherapy (training will be provided by ROS if necessary) Working time: Mon to Fri - 8.30am to 5.30pm Sat (subject to exigency need of the dept)#J-18808-Ljbffr
