Scope of Role of a Nominee Director: A nominee director typically serves a non-executive role to fulfill the statutory requirement by ACRA for a local resident director on a company's board. Unlike regular directors, nominee directors aren't engaged in activities like voting, attending board meetings, or opening a company bank account. Their passive role contrasts with the executive responsibilities of regular directors who make management decisions and oversee daily business operations. Responsibilities: Remotely signing a board resolution to allow the company to set up a bank account. Act as Nominee Director for the company. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Exercise reasonable diligence despite your limited managerial involvement. Compensation: Pays between 1-2k a month depending on how many companies you are a nominee director on. Requirements: Previous experience as a Nominee Director is preferred but not compulsory. No bankruptcy or bad credit issues. Minimum age is 18 years old. Able to connect remotely on mobile or laptop. Responsive to emails. Kindly note that this is not a position where you must dedicate all your time. Ideally, this is just some side income that you can get.
