ABOUT THE ROLE The casual ScapeSafe Security Control Room Coordinator contributes to the safety and well-being of students, staff, and all Scape properties by monitoring CCTV and managing security systems. The role is central to the operational response of security resources across all properties. As a Security Control Room Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our student accommodation properties. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing control room operations by monitoring CCTV systems, alarms, and access control systems to identify and respond to security incidents promptly.
- Monitoring live and recorded CCTV footage to detect unauthorized access, suspicious activities, or safety hazards within our properties.
- Coordinating and monitoring security patrols, ensuring proper coverage and focusing on properties accommodating individuals under 18.
- Collaborating closely with on-site security personnel, property management, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of security-related activities.
- Utilising vehicle tracking systems to monitor patrol cars and overnight staff in real-time for enhanced security coverage.
- Maintaining a good working relationship with all site staff and reporting staffing, rostering, and contractor issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional CCTV security-related certifications and training is essential.
- Proven experience in security control room operations, CCTV monitoring, and incident management.
- Fluent understanding of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and respond to security incidents swiftly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and other security-related technologies.
- Knowledge of vehicle tracking systems or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to such systems.
- Strong computer skills for incident reporting, documentation, and vehicle tracking software.
- A valid 1E Security License.
