About the role Laing O’Rourke is searching for an experienced Proposal Manager with infrastructure tendering experience to join our national team. Candidates should have strong project management skills and the ability to produce high-quality, compelling, and compliant submissions in high-pressure environments. We are looking for candidates based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane, or who are willing to relocate. The role sits across the Rail, Road, Energy and Transition, Water and Defence Sectors, with exposure to high value ‘mega-projects.’ Key responsibilities
- Managing major tenders to produce high-quality submissions with tight and competing deadlines
- Working collaboratively with the Bid Leader / Project Director to manage bid programs and allocated resources, including a large team of both internal and external technical specialists
- Supporting the Bid Leader / Project Director in meeting governance requirements
- Working with the Head of Proposals to plan specialist writer and production resource requirements for each bid
- Driving content development and review processes for completeness and accuracy, supporting lead authors and technical and commercial leaders to deliver high-quality outputs.
- Excellent review, writing and communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely
- Possess an advanced knowledge of the construction and engineering sectors.
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, Construction, Engineering or similar field will be beneficial.
- Interested to learn and adopt new technologies to assist in bid management and development.
- Willing to work on case studies, CVs and other collateral infrastructure between major bids
