Site and Health Officer (SHO)

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety and health policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant authorities and regulations.

Safety Inspections and Risk Assessments:

• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
• Prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.

Safety Culture Promotion:

• Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Equipment and PPE Maintenance:

• Ensure that all safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are properly maintained and used.

Regulatory Compliance and Updates:

• Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
• Ensure compliance and proactive risk management.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g., DOSH, NIOSH, DOE, BOMBA, MOH, JKJR) to ensure compliance with all legal requirements.

Additional Duties:

• Carry out any other duties as instructed by the Site Manager.

Requirements and Skills

• Valid Green Book Holder registered with Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH)
• At least three (3) years working experience at construction site
• Familiar with standard concepts and best practices for construction or environment for both safety and administration
• Willing to travel within Johor Bahru
