The Senior RTR Accountant is responsible for managing the end-to-end Record-to-Report process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, while driving process improvements and maintaining strong internal controls. - Prepare a complete set of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Audit Schedules) for month-end and year-end reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and maintaining a strong focus on controllership.
- Assist the Finance Manager in all aspects of year-end statutory reporting, including audits, corporate tax filings, and GST submissions. This includes preparing audit schedules, financial statements, and managing audit queries and issues.
- Support the Finance Manager in implementing internal controls framework (COSO) policies and processes, and actively contribute to any transformation or process improvement initiatives.
- Help drive the Shared Service Center's goal of becoming 100% paperless by redesigning controls, practices, and processes.
- Take on other ad-hoc assignments as needed.
- Degree/Diploma in Accounting, preferably with a professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or ICAEW.
- At least 5 years of work experience, with the first 2 to 3 years ideally spent in a public accounting firm (candidates from Big 4 firms are highly preferred), followed by 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting and commercial experience in an MNC with a hybrid reporting structure.
- Candidates with no public accounting experience but with strong backgrounds in managing accounting and commercial finance functions will also be considered.
- Experience in major transformational projects related to financial systems and processes (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Blackline) is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards is essential.
