Tax Analyst (Philippines-based Freelancers) Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? Support US-based companies in preparing accurate and efficient tax documentation. About the Role As a Tax Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in preparing US-based tax documents while ensuring client satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include processing tax documents, preparing accurate returns, and collaborating with the team to deliver excellent results. What You'll Do:
- Tax Preparation : Process and upload tax documents, prepare returns for forms such as 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990 series, and 1023.
- Client Collaboration : Communicate with clients to request missing information or escalate completed tax returns to the Tax Manager for review.
- Timely Responses : Respond to client messages within 24 hours to maintain strong relationships.
- Extensions and Estimates : Prepare tax extensions and calculate estimated taxes.
- Ad Hoc Projects : Take on additional projects as assigned.
- A college degree or equivalent education.
- Strong computer skills, tech-savviness, and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably with a public accounting firm.
- Proficient knowledge of US tax principles, including the Internal Revenue Code and business entity structuring (especially S Corporations).
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- A professional, reliable work ethic and ability to handle deadlines under pressure.
- Personal computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM (tablets and Chromebooks are not supported).
- High-speed wired internet with a minimum of 10 Mbps download speed for seamless connectivity (no satellite or mobile internet connections).
- Valid and up-to-date antivirus software installed.
- Smart phone, Android tablet or iPad available to authenticate and login daily.
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system must be used (some clients will accept an AppleOS).
