Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our post-production team, focusing on creating high-quality promotional content from base assets under the guidance of a Promo Producer. In this role, you will be responsible for editing engaging promos that effectively communicate our audio series' essence and drive user acquisition across various social media platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Edit and Produce Promotional Content: Create high-quality promotional videos from existing base assets, ensuring they align with the creative vision set by the Promo Producer. - Craft Engaging Narratives: Develop compelling narratives within short-form promos, maintaining viewer interest and engagement throughout. - Utilize Advanced Editing Techniques : Employ creative transitions, visual metaphors, and storytelling techniques to convey complex narratives primarily through visuals. - Design for Mobile Optimization: Create visually striking content optimized for mobile viewing, utilizing bold colors and dynamic motion to stand out in crowded social media feeds. - Implement Sound-Off Optimization: Ensure content remains engaging even without audio by effectively using text overlays, captions, and visual cues. - Integrate Calls-to-Action: Incorporate clear and compelling calls-to-action throughout videos, designing visually appealing end cards and using motion graphics to highlight CTAs. - Maintain Dynamic Editing Flow: Utilize strategic pacing and quick cuts to keep viewers engaged and guide them towards desired actions. - Collaborate with Creative Teams: Work closely with sound designers and motion graphics artists to create cohesive and impactful videos that align with brand guidelines. - Optimize for Various Platforms: Adapt videos for different social media platforms by considering platform-specific requirements and audience behaviors. - Analyze Performance Metrics: Review performance data of promotional content to identify trends and areas for improvement, incorporating insights into editing decisions. - Participate in A/B Testing: Create multiple versions of promos with subtle variations to allow for data-driven improvements in user action rates. - Stay Updated on Trends: Keep abreast of emerging editing technologies, social media trends, and platform-specific features to continuously refine skills and adapt techniques. - Manage Multiple Projects: Prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality. Key Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience in video editing, specifically focused on promotional or short-form content for social media. - Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro). - Strong understanding of video codecs, file formats, and export settings for various platforms. - Exceptional storytelling ability with a keen eye for visual creativity. - Experience in creating content optimized for specific KPIs (e.g., view-through rates, click-through rates). - Familiarity with current social media trends and platform-specific requirements. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in editing content specifically for mobile-first platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram Reels). - Background in performance marketing or data-driven content optimization. - Familiarity with motion graphics and basic visual effects. - Experience with interactive or episodic content production.
