We’re looking for a skilled Node.js API Developer to join our growing team and contribute to building high-performance, scalable applications that will shape the future of our offerings. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for backend services and APIs using Node.js.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to establish objectives and design cohesive, user-friendly APIs.
- Implement data storage solutions, ensuring responsiveness and high availability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve functionality and scalability.
- Optimize application performance, considering security, scalability, and reliability best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to improving coding standards, and ensure best practices across all projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js and API development.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, RESTful services, and data storage solutions such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, and familiarity with TypeScript is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies like Docker.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Experience with API security best practices and knowledge of OAuth, JWT, etc.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and serverless frameworks.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in a collaborative development environment.
