Position Overview:

As a Systems Administrator with the MRI Software IT Services Team, you will work across Private and Public cloud technologies, learning business processes whilst being exposed to exciting new technologies such as VMWare vCentre, Azure, SQL Databases, Citrix, along with several other backup, antivirus, monitoring, networking and operational tooling. In this position, you will assist with a wide range of IT operational and project related duties such as Microsoft Active Directory management, VMware Virtual Machine deployment and configuration, Anti-Virus and security vulnerability activities, deploying virtual web servers, creating and maintaining DNS records and be fully immersed in day-to-day operational IT Services activities, related to application support.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deployment and configuration of Application releases
  2. Able to perform duties on a shift/roster depending on requirements from business
  3. Ability to work overtime/standby as and when required
  4. Citrix Troubleshooting
  5. Installation and management of IT, monitoring and security tools
  6. SQL Server and DB administration
  7. Managing and administering service desk ticketing system queues
  8. Review of SOPs and documentation
  9. Remote Desktop Gateway management, configuration, and troubleshooting
  10. IPSEC Tunnels and administration
  11. Configuration of monitoring tools
  12. Active Directory management and troubleshooting
  13. VPN Configuration and troubleshooting
  14. General vCentre management and troubleshooting
  15. SFTP Server management
  16. IIS/Web Server administration and troubleshooting
  17. Certificate Management
  18. SMTP Relay server troubleshooting and management
  19. Azure Kubernetes Cluster Services
  20. Patching and Updates
  21. Server Builds and Software deployments
  22. Client and Stakeholder Engagements

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Strong interest in general IT (Networking, Operating Systems, Scripting)
  2. Attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs and suggest improvements to documentation and processes
  3. Ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly
  4. Strong Interpersonal Skills with focus in Customer Centricity
  5. Strong vendor management skills
  6. Ability to work and collaborate across global and regional teams
  7. Accountability and ownership of Problem and Incident management

Education:

  1. Degree/Diploma in Information Science/Technology or equivalent work experience
  2. MTA/MCSE/Azure Certified
  3. Database Administration Certified or working towards
  4. VMWare Certification a plus
  5. Security Certification
