Technical Cybersecurity Solutions Architect

The role involves delivery of commercial network security projects to strategic customers. Projects vary considerably between network security reviews, network security design, and implementation of various network security solutions. The role requires involvement as part of a virtual multi-discipline team as the network security lead in large-scale design and implementation projects. The position also requires pre-sales capability as well as thought leadership to the organization and its customers around risk reduction using the Liquid Network Security product stack.

Full Time Role Requirements:

1. Take the lead technical role in projects, managing less experienced engineers to ensure a successful outcome to the project.
2. Deep technical knowledge of the following network security solutions and services:

• Cisco Security product suite (Cisco FTD, FMC, Meraki, ISE-NAC, Secure Access, etc.)
• Network Detection and Response solutions, i.e. Darktrace, Recorded Future, etc.
• Cloud Network Security solutions, i.e. Azure WAF.
• Secure Service Edge (SSE) and Secure Access Service Edge Solutions, i.e. Zscaler, Forti SASE, Cisco Umbrella, etc.
• Firewall assurance solutions, i.e. Skybox, Titania Nipper, etc.
• Network architecture and best practice configurations (SDWAN, wired and wireless LAN, Cloud Networking, Remote Access etc.)

• Perform implementation and technical leadership in pre-sales and Proof of Concept [POC] customer engagements.
• Provide senior level technical support on network security products for lower tier engineers at customers and in the organization.
• Provide architectural diagrams and concepts to meet company solution requirements.
• Act as thought leader to assess existing network security product implementations and suggest improvements to design and implementation.
• Implement, upgrade, and maintain products in the network security stack.
• Develop standard operating procedures and guides for junior resources to refer to in future engagements with network security products.
• Stay abreast with network security product developments and bring new technology solutions to meet customer requirements more effectively.
• Play a leading role in terms of the organization Cybersecurity strategy and its implementation.
• Act as top tier troubleshooting resource for service degradation and outages.

Education, Experience & Skills

Qualification:

• Matric/ Grade 12
• Relevant IT Security Diploma/Degree is expected.

Must have the following Cyber Security vendor certifications:

• Fortinet Certified Professional (Network Security) and/or
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

Experience:

• Experience of IT and Cyber Security industry frameworks or standards such as ISO2700x, NIST, CIS Top18, etc.
• 4 - 5 years’ experience in large scale network Security product configuration and deployments.
