Remote, France, Italy or Spain The Client Datacenter People is partnering with a European specialist data center operator that delivers services through a campus model. Today they own and operate 22 data centers across France, Italy, Spain, Poland and Luxembourg. What The Job Involves

  • Define and ensure implementation of the Commissioning strategy at Data4.
  • Lead the commissioning process for data center projects, including all systems, electrical, mechanical, and BMS.
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans, protocols, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and successful commissioning.
  • Conduct site inspections and functional testing of systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning process.
  • Ensure that documentation is well prepared and maintained, including commissioning reports and system performance data.
  • Provide training and support to operations staff on system functionality and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices throughout the commissioning process.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in commissioning practices and technologies.
  • Serve as the company's internal expert on all commissioning aspects of data centers.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders across various departments.
  • Represent the company in external project meetings, discussions, and negotiations with vendors and consultants.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring transparency and understanding.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in data center mechanical systems and processes.
  • Lead the implementation of new technologies and best practices to enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization.
We’re Looking for Someone With
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commissioning management, preferably in data center or critical facility environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems in data centers.
  • Familiarity with building codes, standards, and regulations related to data center operations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Professional certification (e.g., Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)) is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
