Are you an experienced quality professional in the freight industry committed to excellence? We’re seeking a dynamic Freight Quality Manager to ensure our operations meet and exceed the highest standards in compliance, quality, and safety. Location: Aerodrome Business Park, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 remote While we offer hybrid working arrangements, own transport is recommended due to our location and the occasional need to travel between sites. What you’ll do:
- Overall responsibility of the Quality Management System in relation to Freight Operations based on ISO9001:2015, ensuring seamless implementation and compliance across freight operations.
- Ensuring AEO and TAPA security requirements are met, driving digital innovation in compliance processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions.
- Responsibility of ensuring that all essential quality information is communicated to the relevant people on a regular basis (e.g. meetings, e-mails, notice boards).
- Liaise and co-operate with Quality Management and Standards Bodies.
- Work closely with suppliers and customers to uphold exceptional service standards.
- Lead performance tracking, develop SOPs, and deliver actionable insights through regular reporting.
- Develop and maintain systems to investigate complaints, manage audits, ensure controlled operations, establish and measure performance standards, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Approval of new suppliers and carriers.
- Creation and implementation of supplier technical/service level agreements (where appropriate).
- Manage all PRL Freight licenses, certifications and memberships.
- Train and inspire teams to embrace a culture of quality, safety, and operational excellence.
- 3+ years experience in quality management, ideally in freight forwarding, warehousing, or logistics.
- Degree in Quality or related discipline/equivalent experience considered an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and AEO.
- Knowledge and experience of other ISO standards, BRC, GDP, food safety and security guidelines is desirable.
- History of running both internal and external audits; internal auditor-qualified.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high standards across teams, fostering a culture of quality, compliance, and excellence.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience liaising with customers, regulatory agencies, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled in planning, teamwork, and presentation.
- Own transport is required, as occasional travel between our sites may be necessary.
