Reference: 9897 SJ Consultant: Sone Johnson Reporting to the Senior Manager Logistics, the incumbent would be responsible for supervising certain areas within the distribution center, which includes overseeing staff, inventory and operational & administrative systems and controls. Job Description:
- Forecasting and planning of resources requirements (people and equipment)
- Forecast and planning of warehousing space allocations requirements to support DC throughput growth
- Forecast and planning of Service Provider (3PL) requirement to support DC throughput growth
- Initiation and execution of DC resources optimisation initiative
- Optimising warehousing operations (materials Handling)
- Continuous evaluation of distribution processes and identification of opportunities for improvement
- Execution of policies and standards pertaining to materials handling and ensuring compliance to safety standards
- Set performance expectations provide guidance and foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Maintain internal and external stakeholder relations
- Responsible for relationship management with stakeholders and ensures adherence to service level agreement
- Leveraging advanced system technologies to enhance the efficiency of the DC
- Monitoring of system service provider support
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and executing inventory control measures to minimise discrepancies and losses
- NQF 5 or equivalent
- 4 years related experience
- Intermediate MS Office skills and WMS and Blue Yonder experience
- Code 08 Drivers licence
