Environmental and Sustainability Manager

NOW HIRING ENVIRONMENTAL & SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER Our client is a leading Consultant who has delivered iconic hospitality & branded residence projects in the GCC market. The Role: The Environmental and Sustainability Manager is responsible for overseeing all environmental and sustainability tasks across the design and construction phases of masterplans, infrastructure, public realms, and assets. The role involves ensuring compliance with sustainability frameworks and achieving targeted certifications such as LEED and Mostadam. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the development and delivery of sustainability strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry standards.
  2. Manage sustainability certifications for masterplans and assets, including LEED Cities, Mostadam Communities, and other relevant frameworks.
  3. Review and monitor sustainability performance during design and construction, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and certifications.
  4. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure sustainability and environmental performance targets are met.
  5. Implement and manage sustainability and environmental management plans, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and certifications.
  6. Conduct environmental audits, site inspections, and progress monitoring to identify and address potential risks.
  7. Provide technical evaluation of engineering submissions, ensuring alignment with sustainability and environmental guidelines.
  8. Facilitate coordination meetings with internal teams, stakeholders, and certification bodies to ensure alignment on environmental and sustainability goals.
  9. Oversee documentation and reporting processes for certification submissions, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  2. 15+ years of experience in environmental and sustainability management.
  3. LEED and Mostadam certifications are preferred.
  4. Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks and environmental compliance.
  5. Proven expertise in achieving sustainability certifications for large-scale projects (e.g., LEED Cities, Mostadam Communities).
  6. Proficient in managing regulatory permits and environmental audits.
  7. Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
  8. Experience in stakeholder coordination and sustainability reporting.
  9. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
