What is the Role:

• We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Senior Data Scientist to join our newly established AI Centre of Excellence (CoE). The AI CoE will be responsible for driving and supporting the development and implementation of AI solutions across the business and ensuring alignment with our AI framework and data ethics principles. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for implementing AI solutions that are aligned to the bank's strategic objectives and deliver positive customer outcomes, and measurable business value. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI initiatives are aligned with the bank's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Applies scientific methods through experimental design, exploratory data analysis, and hypothesis testing to reach robust conclusions.
2. Demonstrates critical thinking, adept at identifying and articulating data science solutions supporting business growth.
3. Is future-focused, continuously developing data science and AI knowledge, and ways of utilizing new tools and techniques to tackle business and organizational challenges, ensuring knowledge, ideas, and best practices are adopted across the team.
4. Thinks holistically and strategically with a proven ability to plan, organize, and manage complex AI products.
5. Demonstrates thought leadership and supports the Head of AI in the development and delivery of our strategy and roadmap.

Minimum Criteria:

1. Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent qualification.
2. 4+ years' experience as Data Scientist or experience in financial services with relevant data science qualifications.
3. Highly numerate and passionate about data and analytics with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Has delivered a catalogue of use cases with proven value, utilizing a broad spectrum of techniques.
5. Strong knowledge and understanding of AI concepts, tools, and applications, with a track record in delivering value from data science initiatives.
