Position Summary & ObjectiveThe Data Scientist interprets large data sets to support and drive product strategy and decision-making.Essential Functions Performed by the Position• Collaborates closely with product managers to define data requirements and translate into actionable insights.• Designs, develops, and implements data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses to support product development and optimization.• Performs data extraction, cleaning, and transformation to ensure the integrity and consistency of data.• Conducts exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for product enhancement.• Creates and maintains dashboards and visualizations to track product performance and key metrics.• Partners with engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and infrastructure support for analytics initiatives.• Applies machine learning techniques to enhance product features and improve user experiences.• Presents findings and insights to stakeholders through detailed reports and presentations.Position QualificationsEducation:• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent work experience.Experience:• 2-4 years of experience in data science, with a focus on product management.• Previous experience as a Data Engineer with a solid understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and data warehousing.• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide data-driven recommendations.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application in product development is a plus.Certifications/Licenses:• None.Language Proficiency:• Fluent in English.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Strong written, verbal and computer communication skills within the English language.• Ability to prioritize and successfully work to deadlines.• Must have the ability to multitask, be self-motivated, and be able to work autonomously.• Flexibility to accommodate an ever-changing working environment and demands placed upon it.• Must be able to fit into a culture where teamwork, empowerment and dedication is of utmost importance.• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and product management tools like Jira or Trello.• Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?Work for a market leading, established product company.
