The institution is designed to meet the needs of patients from diverse backgrounds, offering innovative treatments and a commitment to ethical medical practices.Job DescriptionThe Interventional Cardiologist will diagnose, treat, and manage cardiovascular diseases, with a focus on performing advanced procedures in the Cathlab. The role involves managing acute cardiac emergencies, delivering comprehensive cardiac care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care:Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular diseases through clinical evaluation, imaging, and laboratory tests.Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cathlab, including:Coronary angiography and angioplasty (PTCA).Placement of stents (DES, BMS).Primary angioplasty in acute myocardial infarction (PAMI).Pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantations.Peripheral angioplasty and endovascular procedures.Balloon mitral and aortic valvuloplasty.Management of structural heart conditions (e.g., ASD and PDA device closures).Intravascular imaging-guided procedures (OCT/IVUS).Handle acute cardiac emergencies such as ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI), cardiogenic shock, and arrhythmias.Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and post-procedure care.Collaboration:Work closely with other specialists, including cardiac surgeons, radiologists, anaesthesiologists, and intensivists, to provide holistic patient care.Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions to ensure optimal treatment strategies.Education & Research:Educate patients and families on cardiovascular diseases, procedures, and preventive measures.Stay updated with advancements in interventional cardiology through continuous medical education and training.Contribute to hospital-led research initiatives and clinical trials in interventional cardiology.Administrative Duties:Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including procedural notes, progress reports, and follow-up documentation.Adhere to hospital policies, ethical guidelines, and quality protocols.Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.Skills and CompetenciesExpertise in performing a wide range of Cathlab procedures and managing complex interventional cases.Strong decision-making, analytical, and technical skills in interventional cardiology.Excellent communication and patient management abilities.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Cardiologist with extensive Cathlab case exposure is required.
