A world-renowned algorithmic trading firm in London is searching for a top Trading Systems Engineer to join their trading tech team. You will be at the heart of a complex trading environment, collaborating closely with leading machine learning traders and a diverse range of engineers to optimize high-frequency trading operations across global markets and various asset classes. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of ultra-low latency and high-frequency trading operations, pushing the boundaries of the firm’s performance in the algorithmic trading space. Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate cutting-edge high frequency trading systems and applications
  • Oversee real-time market data feeds, ensuring accurate and timely processing to drive strategic decision-making
  • Program python scripts to automate trade support functions
  • Troubleshoot production issues while focusing on root cause of issues to improve system stability
  • Coordinate and prioritize software updates for seamless exchange migrations and fast feature deployment
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience in optimising and sustaining high performance trading applications
  • Strong python and C++ scripting abilities
  • Solid academic background in STEM discipline - preference for computer science
  • Proficient in Linux/Unix systems for server management and deployment
  • Knowledge of the FIX protocol and trading application programming interfaces (APIs)
  • A proactive mindset and a strong commitment to personal growth and development
