Investment Banking Analyst/Associate Asset Partners is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst or Associate with 1-4 years of experience to join an investment bank in London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about M&A, particularly within the TMT sectors. The role offers exposure to high-profile deals, including advisory work in mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and capital raising, within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Key responsibilities
- Support on transactions across the bank. For example, preparing marketing materials, maintaining financial models, coordinating due diligence, managing the overall transaction process
- Financial analysis of companies in target, including building operating and valuation models, maintaining and updating comparable company trading analysis and transaction analysis
- Responsibility for monitoring targeted clients in terms of news and announcements
- Research on companies and industries and support on client initiatives including generating and developing new ideas
- Formulate and develop client pitch-books and analysis in addition to supporting other team members
- Build direct cross functional relationships with bankers and regional business units
- Exposure to various subsectors within TMT
- Previous investment banking experience within M&A focused on the following sectors: Generalist, Industrials, Consumer & Retail or TMT
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficient level of MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to learn and take leadership on critical workstreams
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individuals
- Fluency in English is essential and a second European language a plus
- Excellent academic record with a minimum 2.1 from a leading university
