Part-time Financial Controller wanted for client based in Bristol (within a 45-minute radius preferred) About the role: We are currently looking for a Financial Controller to work part-time with one of our existing clients in the Bristol/Bath area. You should ideally have experience with ERP systems, WIP monitoring, and detailed cost analysis. While the financial basics are in place, there is a strong need for an FC to continue improving reporting standards. About You: You are a qualified and experienced Financial Controller with proven experience supporting growing SMEs. Ideally, you are already self-employed and must commit to at least 2 days per week. Your expertise should include:
- Management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Cashflow and profit forecasting
- Experience with integrated stock control and project costing system
- Commercial insight and strategic support
- Managing year-end routine and liaising with accountants but not preparing statutory accounts
- Excel skills, including pivots, SUMIFs, and graphs
- Presenting financial and commercial insights to non-finance stakeholders
- You must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) with experience leading a small finance team.
- Ideal experience in:
- ERP systems with integrated stock control and project management
- WIP monitoring and calculations
- Detailed cost analysis
- Location: Bristol / Bath (on-site required, within a 45-minute radius)
- Commitment: 2 days per week (self-employed basis)
- Rate of Pay: £35 per hour
- Start Date: Immediate availability essential
