Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with the project/technical team to install, commission, and validate process equipment and control systems for both solid and liquid manufacturing lines.
• Ensure operation units are positioned and set up precisely for the manufacturing process. You should be competent in reviewing P&IDs, electrical drawings, and handling mass transfer equipment, pressure vessels, and heating processes.
• Implement methods to systematically evaluate manufacturing process and equipment problems. Make sound recommendations to prevent recurrence based on data analysis.
• Conduct root cause analysis and utilize the PDCA cycle to improve equipment reliability.
• Establish a maintenance schedule, preventive maintenance strategy, and spare parts inventory plan for all process equipment in the facility to ensure safety and cost-effective targets.
• Analyze maintenance and production data and make recommendations to reduce unplanned downtime and improve OEE.
• Support and coordinate matters related to government agencies and local authorities, including but not limited to the Fire and Rescue department, DOSH, DOE, and local government.
• Establish and conduct training and proficiency tests for the maintenance and production team to build up maintenance competency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 5 Year(s) of working experience in FMCG.
• Good knowledge in FSSC22000, equipment installation, Project Management, CMMS, PLC, equipment parts management, and hands on maintenance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
