Responsibilities
- Assist in all costs preparation relating to the projects from initial calculations, cost analysis to the final figures.
- Calculate the cost of construction for projects based on drawings and documents.
- Assist in estimating building materials for each project and take site measurements.
- Prepare project budget, progress claims, final accounts, and final details of the bill of quantities (BQ).
- Procure the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the project.
- Manage vendors with good negotiation skills.
- Track project work status (progress claims, VO, EOT, outstanding payment) proactively.
- Handle short time-line work tasks.
- Assist the Manager in preparing monthly reports.
- Support the Manager in daily tasks.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
- Report to the Manager of Project Management Department.
Requirements
- Possess at least a Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in the construction industry or related field.
- Outstanding analytic and coordination skills.
- Excellent time management to meet multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
- Computer literate with strong spreadsheet skills and project documentation (Microsoft Office, Project Documentation, AutoCad).
- Experience in contract administration is an added advantage.
- Proactive approach to achieving goals and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Applicant should be a Malaysian Citizen.
- Excellent command of English & Bahasa Melayu.
