Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support: Assist end-users with hardware and software issues, troubleshoot problems, and provide solutions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Help desk support: Respond to user inquiries, resolve technical problems via remote or in-person, and escalate complex issues to the vendor.
  • User account management: Create, modify, and delete user accounts, including granting access rights and permissions based on organizational policies.
  • Network administration: Ensure proper network connectivity, troubleshoot network issues, configure routers and switches, and monitor network performance.
  • Maintain hardware inventory: Keep track of hardware assets, update inventory records, and coordinate equipment repair or replacement as needed.
  • Conduct user training: Provide training sessions or workshops to educate users on IT systems, software applications, and best practices for data security.
  • Coordinate with vendors: Interact with external vendors for procurement of IT equipment, software licenses, and services, and manage vendor relationships.
  • System Maintenance and Updates: Regularly update and patch software applications and operating systems to ensure security and functionality.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to support knowledge sharing and training.
  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement through disposal, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Technical skills:
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues and setting up Windows and Mac laptops.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and patient while assisting users, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Active listening skills to understand user issues and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and tools quickly, with a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with end-users and explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Work Ethic:
  • Ability to Work Independently: Capable of working without supervision and taking ownership of tasks, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability.
  • Task Management: Diligently updates the status of tasks and projects on a weekly basis to ensure transparency and accountability.
