Main Activities/Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Chemical Engineering curriculum at the Bahrain campus, working closely with Glasgow-based staff alongside the Bahrain-based team.
- Contribute to the delivery of a range of teaching materials at undergraduate level, including engagement in curriculum review and enhancement, in a manner that supports a research- and pedagogy-informed approach to learning.
- Develop and apply innovative and appropriate teaching techniques and materials which create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst students, in collaboration with Glasgow-based colleagues.
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues and students as appropriate.
- Contribute to the resolution of student issues, acting on student feedback in a timely, responsible manner.
- Engage in processes in relation to student assessment, examination, and feedback activities, in close collaboration with Glasgow-based colleagues.
- Engage in scholarship activities related to enhancing teaching and learning, disseminating results through publication in professional journals and/or presentation at external conferences as appropriate, including taking opportunities to collaborate with Glasgow-based colleagues and building wider collaborator networks.
- Engage in continuous professional development, which may include establishing, in a developing capacity, a personal portfolio of research activity and a growing range of leadership and management experience.
- Engage in, where appropriate, Department/School, Faculty and/or University senior administrative and management functions, for example by participating in relevant committees.
