ABOUT THE ROLE : As the Activities Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering fun and engaging group activities for participants and staff. You will be a ‘people person’ who has a genuine passion and enthusiasm for promoting the health and wellbeing of people living with a disability. This role requires a high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and a heart for serving people within the community. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Co-ordinate community activities, both onsite at Asha House and offsite excursions that are designed and aligned with supporting the needs of our NDIS participants.
- Deliver group activities with NDIS participants when required.
- Liaise with Salt support workers and their participants, facilitating input to co-design activities considering the needs and preferences of likely attendees.
- Plan, co-ordinate and promote social activities for Salt staff members, building community and support for our workers and their families.
- Carry out office administration including reception, mail, couriers, greeting clients, and answering phones.
- Be available to support the care of participants who attend the facility for an activity or are visiting if required.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work in conjunction with other teams and staff to provide assistance where required.
- Provide oversight to the food relief activities from the Frankston office.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role or industry.
- Experience in co-ordinating and running group activities.
- Relevant experience in disability services and customer care.
- Cert IV in Leisure and Health (advantageous).
- NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check (Victoria).
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
- Access to a reliable personal motor vehicle.
- Motor vehicle insurance.
- Proof of right to work in Australia.
