Department of Health Hospitals & Primary Care - Hospitals Nth Launceston General Hospital Applications must be submitted by Sunday 22 December, 2024 11:55 PM AEST Award / Classification: Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Band 3 Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 pro rata, per annum Employment type: Part Time Region: North Location: LGH Charles Street, Launceston The Role: In accordance with conventional practices, methods and standards, the Technical Officer provides support to pathologists and scientists for the efficient operation of the Pathology Department. The Technical Officer ensures prescribed procedures and techniques are applied when performing routine and specialised tests. Under general guidance from laboratory supervisors, Technical Officers perform technical work in one or more sections of the Pathology Department. Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application. Details of appointment: Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working up to 61 hours per fortnight, commencing from 27 January 2025. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- An associate Diploma from a recognised tertiary institution, or an equivalent qualification, appropriate to the nature of the work.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Registration / licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration / licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
