STORE MANAGER ... NEW TAURANGA SITE COMING! Our leadership team is shaping up, and we are looking for a Store Manager to complete this first recruitment cohort for our new site in Greerton! As a Store Manager, you’ll make work fun – you’re a people person who empowers and motivates your team to do their best. You do this by coaching them on expected customer service behaviours and turning them into product experts. You’ll ensure your customers have team members to seek advice from in-store, managing your rosters well to ensure sufficient coverage. Your store is your pride and joy – you’ve got your eye on the floor making sure everything is spick and span. You get your hands dirty, taking action on what needs to be done. What you can expect to do:
  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the store, delivering a compelling customer experience.
  2. Coach and empower your team to work, think and act safely.
  3. Develop strategies and processes to ensure continuous improvement.
  4. Oversee the development of the wider team with a clear focus on growing the capability of all team members.
  5. Prepare budgets and maximise sales and profit through managing inventory, visual merchandising and marketing.
  6. Engage the local community and identify opportunities for community events and projects.
What we need from you:
  1. Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on driving teams of over 50.
  2. Previous experience in big box retail, or a multi-site leadership role in specialty retail.
  3. A friendly, informal and consultative style when working with others.
  4. A proven record of building service-focused teams.
  5. Experience in coaching and developing others.
  6. Experience in leading budgets and maximising profit growth.
  7. The ability to support and drive change.
  8. A strong safety awareness.
  9. Flexibility to work rotational rosters, public holidays and weekends.
