About the Role Join the dynamic team at SURAMJES RECOVERY (M) SDN. BHD., a leading company in the Accounting industry. As an Assistant Manager Account, you will play a crucial role in our Jasin Melaka office, overseeing a range of financial accounting and reporting responsibilities. What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, including reconciling accounts and generating reports
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Provide support and guidance to the accounting team, contributing to their professional development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with relevant regulations
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in the Accounting industry
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and proficiency in accounting software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring junior team members
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Professional accounting certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) is preferred
