Responsibilities:
- Lead NPI projects and manage daily NPI related activities, ensuring all products are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
- Develop and optimize method of manufacturing (MOM) for new products, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and adherence to timelines.
- Collaborate with customer, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth handoff of projects from design to manufacturing.
- Identify and mitigate risks in new product development and production processes.
- Design or procure new tooling, fixtures, and equipment required for new product manufacturing.
- Collaborate with the machine shop team to ensure equipment is maintained and optimized for high-volume production.
- Create and manage project timelines for NPI projects, ensuring all deliverables are met on time.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience as an NPI Engineer, preferably in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining, tooling, and fixtures.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks Preferred)
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
- Preferred candidates who are experienced with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Knowledgeable on plastic welding and thermoforming.
