The MEP Inspector will be required to assist the supervision team on a major housing and infrastructure project. Key responsibilities/duties:
- Review and comment on Contractor's designs and material submissions
- Inspect work in progress for conformance to specifications, approved drawings and method statements
- Review, monitor and report on progress of works
- Check plant, equipment and materials delivered and verify against approved submissions
- Check measurement sheets for the work done and check Contractor’s payment certificates
- Coordinate with the Client and Contractor
- Liaise with other Authorities
- Assist with and coordinate forward planning
- Liaise with all parties for site safety
- Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of records
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Experience with contractor or consultancy experience
- Experience of working on large housing scheme with associated infrastructure work
- Proven track record within a similar role ideally within a consultancy
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
