Make an Impact by: Leading and supervising the Broadcast TechOps team, ensuring that all technical operations run smoothly. Providing support for the Singtel TV broadcast systems for Singtel TV, TV Go, CAST, Singtel Business TV, Optus Sports, and cross-carriage services. Managing and supporting three broadcast data centres onsite/remotely. Monitoring service and system performance proactively and predictively. Recovering live services – headend, ingest, and playout. Managing major events (EPL, FIFAWC, EURO, national significant broadcast events). Ensuring operational excellence – IT Disaster Recovery Plan exercise, IMDA regulatory compliance, and Security audit compliance. Managing live content/sports event acquisition via satellite, fibre, and IP delivery. Working closely with the project, operations, and external parties in overseeing technical aspects of projects and system issue resolution. Planning and implementing system upgrades to keep the broadcasting technology up to date, performing system administration tasks such as system hardening, patch installation, and inventory. Providing training and guidance to the TechOps team to enhance their skills and keep them updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Maintaining records and documentation related to equipment, maintenance, and technical procedures. Developing and implementing disaster recovery and emergency response plans to ensure minimal downtime in case of technical failures. Always working safely, complying with Singtel workplace safety and health policies. Skills for Success: Degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering. 5 years’ experience in the broadcasting/media industry, preferably working as Support Engineer/Team Lead/Supervisor. Strong technical knowledge and experience in ingest and playout/media asset management systems. Experience with satellite downlink and uplink operations. Operation and maintenance of various SDI and IP-based broadcast systems (e.g., audio/video processors; audio/video broadcast monitor; graphics; subtitling; video routers; video transcoding; and video compression/transport). Server, workstation, and network troubleshooting and maintenance. Experience in networking, preferably CCNA certified. Experience in cloud-based broadcast systems is an advantage. Strong problem-solving abilities to quickly identify and address technical issues. Ensuring 24/7 availability of the TechOps team and covering shifts when required. Leadership and supervisory skills to manage a team of Engineers effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and external parties.
