Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Planner to join our team! In this role, you will develop, establish, and maintain all aspects of the planning/scheduling effort on one or more of the larger, more complex and demanding projects/programs. The incumbent utilizes broad experience, expertise, and exposure to various types of company projects and clients. What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
  2. Interface with clients, attend regular meetings, and provide statistical reports.
  3. Prepare, review, and analyze the Master Schedule of a mega/giga development project.
  4. Monitor work progress and compare it to the accepted program of work.
  5. Evaluate and forecast project progress and performance against the established accepted/amended schedule with critical milestones.
  6. Prepare various types of reports as required by the client.
  7. Accumulate and access historical data, such as performance experience, for maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
  8. Develop or maintain an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keep project and company management fully informed.
  9. May lead in the development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with all affected departments, analysis, evaluation, forecast, and reporting of schedule status against an established baseline, and analysis, evaluation, and forecast of project costs and performance.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 10+ years of related work experience.
  2. Basic engineering knowledge in construction, civil engineering, or a related field.
  3. Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls software (P6 EPPM) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. The potential to perform in a lead capacity.
  5. Familiar with industry practices.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
