Description

Assist in co-ordination and monitoring with site construction team for installation, testing, and commissioning works.

Responsibilities

  1. Follows established procedures and guidelines to design and install products and services that are required by the organisation.
  2. Assist in reviews/implements project/job specification.
  3. Assist in designing and updating of instrumentation system layouts, loop diagrams, instrument cable schedules, data sheets, instrument index sheets, I/O lists, installation drawings, etc.
  4. Assist in drafting engineering documents for government submission and for construction.
  5. Carries out basic and detailed engineering design including calculations/analysis as per project requirements.
  6. Prepares and updates material take-off for project procurement and bid proposals.
  7. Coordinate and cooperate with other disciplines on new process requirements, design interface check, and design changes.
  8. Adheres to ISO quality requirements in the execution of works.
  9. Provides technical assistance to the construction team.
  10. Attend site check/verification.
  11. Adheres to drawing checking procedure.
  12. Performs metering/control valves/relief valves sizing.

Requirements

  1. Degree in Instrumentation & Control / Electrical Engineering.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience drafting and design of plants and systems for projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical Industries.
  3. Well-versed in all local and international codes and standards in the related field.
  4. Computer literate with good hands-on experience on applications such as CAD drafting, SP Instrumentation, Microsoft Office, and design software like SP Instrumentation.
