Head of Data & Analytics Location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany – Three times a week visits required to Office Industry: Medical Cannabis Tech / Healthtech Company Overview: Our client is Europe’s and Germany’s leading Medical Cannabis Technology company, revolutionizing Medical Cannabis, Healthcare & Telehealth by merging natural medicine with digital solutions. They are now seeking a Head of Data & Analytics to join their dynamic team and drive the expansion of their platform and app. Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the Data & Analytics team in a dynamic start-up environment focused on medical cannabis. Currently two members in the Data team, with 8 Full full-stack developers.
- Develop and implement a data strategy to optimize and scale our data infrastructure.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to derive strategic recommendations for management, supporting product development and market entry.
- Identify and capitalize on business opportunities by analyzing patient and market data.
- Oversee, improve, and ensure data quality and integrity, adhering to regulatory and privacy standards in healthcare.
- Implement and leverage advanced analytics techniques, including AI and machine learning methods.
- Create and manage reports and dashboards to support executive leadership.
- Collaborate with various departments to develop data-driven business strategies.
- Train and promote data competency within the company.
- Manage budgets and resources for the Data & Analytics department.
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in Data & Analytics
- Ideally within a company where you a dealing with individuals sensitive data, such as health, medical, financial etc but not essential, as long as it is peoples data and not data on businesses.
- Strong expertise in developing and implementing data strategies and analytical methods. You will be managing a Data Engineer, so knowledge of building ETL pipelines is beneficial.
- Proficiency with advanced analytical tools and technologies – Must have experience with MS Power BI & Python. Experience with Snowflake & AWS would be a bonus.
- Experience working in a Startup / Scale up / or small company
- Full Professional/fluent German, and conversational English needed
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Structured and goal-oriented working style.
- Either prior leadership experience, or the desire to step up and lead a team
- High level of responsibility, assertiveness, and a hands-on mentality.
- Affinity for new technologies and data-driven innovation.
- Knowledge or experiance in the medical cannabis industry/ Healthcare / Telehealth / Consumer Financial Services Industry would be beneficial but not essential

- €80,000 – €100,000 base salary (flexibility for exceptional candidates)
