What's on offer In the role of Trainee Building Inspector, you will be part of a team that ensures the safety and compliance of buildings, pools, and assets within the City of Gold Coast. This is a unique role that will provide hands-on experience in building inspections, including site visits, plan assessments, and compliance checks. You will contribute to a safer and more sustainable city by enforcing building codes and standards:

• Inspect swimming pools and their fences and existing buildings to ensure compliance with building requirements and regulations.
• Assess approved plans and development permits.
• Respond to complaints and conduct investigations to identify and resolve building requirement violations.
• Issue notices and orders to rectify building non-compliances and safety issues.
• Advise builders, developers, and property owners on building regulations and standards.
