As an independent and objective assessor, you'll evaluate the design and effectiveness of key risk and regulatory compliance controls. About the Role As an Assurance Specialist, you’ll take charge of assuring the effectiveness of our regulatory compliance controls, ensuring they meet the highest standards. Your insights will be crucial, as you'll communicate findings and recommendations to management in a clear and impactful way. - Support the Assurance Leader to design and complete the annual assurance plan.
- Complete testing on the design and operating effectiveness of regulatory compliance controls and perform a root cause analysis on control gaps.
- Work with the Assurance leader to report assurance outcomes and provide status updates on the remediation of control activities.
- Provide analytical skills to analyse data related to the performance of controls and utilise the analysis to conclude on the effectiveness of controls.
- Provide high-quality reporting of the Assurance program outcomes to the relevant Risk Committees.
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, accounting, finance, information systems, or another relevant degree (minimum).
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in an internal audit or a regulatory compliance assurance role.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work across a large-scale complex environment.
