Do you have a passion for coaching and developing a high-performing team? If so, we want to hear from you! We are partnering with a global leader in the elevator industry to recruit a National Sales Manager to lead and coach a team of 6 Business Development Managers (BDMs) across the UK, along with 1 Internal Sales Support Executive. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a growth-focused, new business-oriented sales team. About the Role: As the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving the success of your team and overseeing the sales of a range of elevators into contractors, developers, estimators, and end users. The role offers an exciting balance of 50% coaching & developing your team, and 50% strategic sales leadership. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 BDMs and 1 Internal Sales Support Executive, focusing on improving sales skills, product knowledge, and performance.
- New Business Development: Ensure the team is successfully securing new business and expanding market share across the UK.
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Play a key role in defining and executing the sales strategy for the region, contributing to the company's growth plans for 2025.
- Travel & Client Engagement: This position involves frequent national travel, with overnight stays required on a weekly basis. You will be building strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders across the country.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior management and other departments to ensure the sales strategy aligns with broader company objectives and customer requirements.
- Construction Product Manufacturing Background: Experience in a related industry is essential, ideally with knowledge of construction, building materials, or mechanical systems.
- Sales Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading new business-focused sales teams, particularly in the B2B sector.
- Coaching & Development: Strong experience in coaching, mentoring, and upskilling a sales team to exceed performance targets.
- Strategic Sales Thinking: Ability to think strategically, develop long-term business plans, and implement initiatives to drive sales growth.
- Willingness to Travel: National travel and overnight stays are required - flexibility is key.
