Senior Advisor, State Delivered Kindergarten - Far North Queensland Region Education (Organisation site) Far North Queensland Region - Early Childhood and State Schools Division The Far North Queensland Region Partnerships and Programs team is looking for a motivated Senior Advisor to support the delivery of State Delivered Kindergarten programs across the region on a temporary full-time basis, until 27 June 2025, unless otherwise determined. The position will focus on building the knowledge and capability of school leaders and educators in good governance, monitoring and reporting and strategy development contributing to quality programs and practice. The Senior Advisor will work with Cairns Regional Office to provide contextualised support to ensure children have a great start through high quality learning experiences and successful transitions. - Support the functions of the Regional Director by leading or contributing to strategic and operational issues that impact state delivered kindergartens.
- Promote excellent practice and high performance through planned activities that underpin good corporate governance, monitoring and reporting and strategy development contributing to quality programs and practice.
- Identify and respond to developing issues, good practice and opportunities in relation to the department's, division's and region's planning, governance, reporting and performance management processes and support continuous improvement.
- Lead the development and implementation of frameworks, resources and activities that support effective and efficient strategic and operational planning, corporate governance, performance, reporting and risk management.
- Partner with teams across the region and division on projects aimed at building organisational capability and performance through proactive planning and engagement activities, including conducting workshops and presentations.
- Work with key contacts to ensure the accurate and timely collection of performance information and corporate reporting.
- Identify challenges and opportunities in driving organisational (at a divisional and regional level) performance and formulate and implement innovative and workable solutions.
- 4-year early childhood teaching qualification, demonstrate an understanding of the Australian Curriculum, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, National Law and Regulations.
- ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification.
