Land Transport is a leading national Road Transport company specializing in General Freight Transport. We are currently looking for a hands-on, confident, and proactive Manifest Clerk to join our team in our Brisbane Depot located in Richlands. You will be reporting directly to the Office Manager. Your primary responsibilities will be ensuring that all paperwork, including consignment notes and manifests, are entered into the JAIX Freight System ready for the drivers, utilizing your attention to detail skills with a high level of accuracy. Exceptional customer service and organizational skills will be needed as you liaise with customers, drivers, depot managers, and all Land Transport staff via phone, email, and in person. About the Role Reporting directly to the Office Manager, your day-to-day tasks will see you involved in a variety of duties such as but not limited to:
- Answering the phones and redirecting incoming calls in a professional and engaging manner
- Taking pick-up enquiries and bookings
- Providing administrative support as required
- Creating manifests for freight
- General office duties including filing, photocopying, and scanning
- Liaising with customers, drivers, depot managers, and all Land Transport staff via phone, email, and in person
- Previous experience in an administrative data entry position
- Experience or willingness to work in a fast-paced environment working to strict deadlines and time frames
- Demonstrated experience working with consignment notes and manifests – desirable
- Strong Australian geographical knowledge
- High level of attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated experience in the transport industry preferred but not essential
