About Us Three Blue Ducks at The Farm Byron Bay is set on an 80-acre farm and Macadamia Orchard with views of both the hinterland and Byron’s iconic lighthouse. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in elevating the culinary experience within Three Blue Ducks Kitchen Team, which provides a diverse range of services, including à la carte dining and functions. Your daily responsibilities will include assisting with kitchen operations, maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation, implementing and monitoring cleaning procedures, and supervising the Kitchen Team in the Sous Chef's absence. The Role Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in menu planning and development
- Overseeing kitchen staff and ensuring smooth service
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
- Assisting in inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or a strong CDP
- Skills: Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for creative cooking
- Attitude: Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and manage a team
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
