About the Role As part of our expansion, Lightnet Group is looking for an experienced Compliance & Onboarding Manager who is responsible for overseeing the growth of our digital asset desk in a compliant and regulated manner. Your mission will be to ensure regulatory compliance through the monitoring of client activity while providing a white-glove experience during the handling of client onboarding processes. Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for institutional clients during the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless experience while mitigating risks. Develop and implement onboarding and compliance strategies that provide a seamless white-glove experience for institutional clients, corporations as well as partnering financial institutions. Collaborate with the Sales and Sales Trading teams to understand each client's needs and coordinate requests for compliance, legal, financial due diligence, and counter due diligence. Periodically review, develop and update policies in line with digital asset regulations across major jurisdictions, especially for Europe, Asia and Middle-East. Assist in digital asset license application(s), audit and renewal processes across jurisdictions involved by Lightnet Group. Assist in onboarding system implementation processes, applying risk-based client profile solutions that adheres to policy, legal, and regulatory requirements of respective jurisdictions covered by Lightnet group. Manage and communicate onboarding processes, business and regulatory guidance, and other requirements to clients, coordinating with internal stakeholders such as sales, treasury, legal, finance, and compliance. Create, consolidate and follow-up on all client onboarding statuses and manage clientele database(s) related to the business. Monitor client risk indicators and ensure compliance within the Lightnet Group’s risk appetite. Identify compliant business solutions and negotiate business, documentation, risk, and other terms with clients in line with the firm's risk appetite and capabilities. Assist the Digital Assets team in identifying risks and opportunities for business continuity solutions in line with regulatory compliance. Requirements Bachelor’s and/or Advanced degree(s) in Business, Finance, Law, Legal Studies, or another relevant field. Professional certifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Compliance Officer (WMI), or modular certifications on Travel Rule, Transaction Monitoring, Financial Crimes, or equivalent are beneficial but not required. 3+ years of experience in financial services, client service, compliance, regulatory affairs, digital assets or a relevant field. Cryptocurrency industry experience is strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and writing skills, and sound judgment. Data-driven approach and customer-centric decision-making. Familiarity with compliance and regulatory technology solutions is a plus. Knowledge of trading documentation (e.g., ISDAs) is beneficial but not required. Knowledge of banking business, processes, procedures and systems. Strong team player attitude and willingness to guide and impart knowledge to support the digital assets team.
