Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner Location: Preference will be given to Candidates residing in Cape Town Salary: R450k p/a CTC depending on experience My client, a market leader in the blow moulding & plastics extrusion sector, is urgently looking for a Human Resources Business Partner preferably from the Plastics Manufacturing / Plastics Extrusion / Blow moulding sector. Job Purpose The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a key role in managing and coordinating HR standards, policies, programs, and practices. This includes workforce planning, employee relations, learning and development, performance management, and risk management. The HRBP ensures effective HR operations aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities
- General HR Support: Provide daily HR guidance and support in line with policies. Analyze HR trends and advocate for improvements. Monitor workforce and succession planning. Support HR strategic initiatives and anchor group programs.
- Workforce Planning: Implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates. Conduct job analyses, create job descriptions, and manage postings. Oversee onboarding, induction, and orientation processes.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive workplace culture and handle employee relations issues. Advise on labor matters and support disciplinary processes. Address grievances, mediate conflicts, and implement engagement initiatives.
- Employee Wellness: Drive wellness initiatives and manage workplace injury processes. Ensure compliance with OHSA appointments and related administration.
- Performance Management: Coordinate performance appraisal processes. Monitor employee performance and assist in improvement planning. Provide feedback and coaching to employees and managers.
- Learning and Development: Assess training needs and coordinate programs. Evaluate training effectiveness and facilitate competency mapping. Manage contracts linked to learning and development.
- Reward and Recognition: Administer compensation, benefits, and recognition programs. Prepare for employee-related events (e.g., year-end parties, awards). Assist with payroll processing and related administrative tasks.
- HR Risk Management: Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies. Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
- HR Technology: Manage HR systems and databases, ensuring timely updates. Maintain training and disciplinary records.
- HR Measurement and Reporting: Prepare HR reports and analyze metrics.
- HR Administration: Handle employee contracts, headcounts, and rosters. Coordinate logistics such as transport and leave administration.
- Self-Development: Continuously assess and develop personal strengths and address weaknesses.
