Job Vacancy: Junior Process Engineer

Water Treatment company based in Muizenberg, Cape Town has a vacancy for a Junior Process Engineer. The role is integral to the selection and design of water treatment equipment and systems and requires a deep understanding of the processes and services that make up the core offering of the business and its competitors. Qualifications: Tertiary qualification (BEng/BSc/BTech/NDip) in Chemical Engineering is required with no less than one year and no more than 3 years relevant experience in water treatment. Requirements:

1. NDip/BTech/BEng Chemical Engineering
2. 1-3 Years experience in Water Treatment
3. Valid driver's license
4. Operational experience must include:
   • Media filtration
   • Ultrafiltration
   • Reverse osmosis
   • Clarifiers/settlers
   • Dissolved air flotation
5. Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings such as block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams and piping instrumentation diagrams
6. Experience/familiarity with RO/UF and Chemical projection software will be an advantage

Duties:

1. Project Assistance
2. Process designs/design assistance
3. Research and development/assistance with projects
4. Operations assistance
5. Equipment assessment
6. Client interaction
7. Assistance with and preparation of proposals
8. Interact with and assist broader Engineering team as and where required
9. Evaluating Engineering processes and treatment strategies based on research and application of existing knowledge
10. Provide detailed engineering information as required
11. Assisting Process Lead by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends
12. Presentation of data and reports to the Process Leads and/or Process Engineering Manager
